They may also have to be competent in database technologies like Microsoft Access, SQL Server and MySQL. Programs are typically 30-60 credit hours long and take between two and three days to complete.

There is therefore great need for the provision of connectivity and professional I.T support services to assist them to fully realize the benefits that come with ICT. Due to lack of mechanisms to maintain and service the machines, as well as lack of capacity, some of the schools are losing computers from the hired Technicians. Indeed a number of schools are facing problems with computer hardware and maintenance which result in most of spares being stolen by the Technicians. Outreach Zimbabwe will empower schools on practical computer hardware and software maintenance with consultation.

  • To train teachers in Basic Computer Aid and Accident prevention.
